ISKCON Devotees Gurgaon is going to organise Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath on 6 July Wednesday.

The Yatra will commence from Krishna Mandir Sector 10A Community Centre Gurgaon at 3.15 pm to be concluded at Gosala Maidan at 7 p.m.
But before that the Ratha will reach at Krishna Mandir Sector 10A Community Centre at 11a.m. Where Chappan Bhoga will be offered to Lord Jagannath, Baladev and Subhadra followed by Arti.

The yatra will go via Khandsa Chowk, Bhuteshar Chowk, Bada Bazar, Sadar Bazar, Agrasen Chowk and finally reach Gosala Madian.

“The special attractions of the festival will be Hot Balloon Show, Flower Abhishek by a Drone, Offering of Chhappan Bhoga through a crane, Rangoli, Art Show, Gopi Dance and Sankirtan Music Festival. On the way of Rath Yatra, many stalls were constructed to serve the devotees participating in the procession,” said Vidur Priya Das President ISKCON Gurgaon.

Social activist and Industrialist Pavan Jindal will the chief guest on the occasion. “ Thousands of people participated on this divine occasion, get darshan of the Deities, pull Their chariot, seek Their blessings, and experienced the bliss on this most auspicious day,” added Das.

"Rath Yatra, the festival of the chariot, is celebrated every year at Puri. This time, Gurgaon ISKCON is also taking out the Ratha Yatra on the same day that is 6th July," said Ajay Goel, a member of Organizing committee.

"This festival has become a common sight in most major cities of the world since 1968 through the ISKCON movement. Our founder Acharya, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, successfully transplanted the festival, which now happens on an annual basis, in places all over the world in over 100 cities," added Goel.

The devotees of Gurgaon have been celebrating this Festival of Chariot with great fanfare, vigour and enthusiasm for the last sixteen years. This year also there is tremendous excitement and exuberance to make the event a grand success.
