Rtn. Kapil Dutta has been installed as the new president of Rotary Club for the year 207-18 in a glittering ceremony held at Juniper Hall, India Habitat Centre in presence of several dignitaries and celebrities.

Legendary Bollywood Film Actor Mr. Ranjeet was the Chief Guest, DG Rtn. Ravi Choudhary was the Guest of Honor and IPDG Dr. N Subramanian, DGE Vinay Bhatia and Maj. Gen ( Retd.) GD Bakshi was a special invitee.  The ceremony was attended by over 125 Rotarians along with their spouses and relatives and senior Rotarians from the districts.

At the start of the ceremony, the National Anthem was led by Rtn. Saroj Vaidyanathan.  Before the start of the function, all the Rotarians and their Spouses were greeted with bouquets.  Hony. Secretary ( 2016-2017) presented the Secretary Report, Relating achievements and accomplishments. It was followed by the address of IPDG Dr. N Subramanian, who highlighted the achievements of his year as DG and termed it as "Very Satisfying".

PP Girdhar  Govind gave a brief introduction of Rtn. Kapil Dutta. The ceremony started with the collaring of the incoming president Kapil Dutta by DG Ravi Choudhary. It was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries present there.

The president briefed on his vision for the year 2017-18 and encourage the members to support and join him in his endeavor to work for the community. "It is a big honor and privilege to take over as the President of this  Heritage club. I would work for the community with my utmost dedication," said Kapil Dutta.  After that, he introduced his team numbers.

Gen . Bakshi administered the Oath to the team. DGE Vinay Bhatia wished President Kapil Dutta and his team a successful year.

Major general Bakshi, a close friend President Kapil Dutta said, " the real threat for India was not Pakistan or China but unemployment. By 2025 the country will require several million skilled workers. The Rotary would in that direction." He wished to make Rotary a significant contribution in skill development of the youth of the country.

PAG. PK Gupta introduced the DG. District Governor Ravi  Choudhary in his address highly appreciated the great work done by members of the club. "If we induct young members, we will become a branded club. If you want to do a big project there is no dearth of funds, but the project should be sustainable," said Choudhary.

DG was all praise for PAG P.K Gupta and PAG Rohit Jain for the commendable job they are doing at the district level. He also wished president Kapil  Dutta and his team a successful year.

 Chief  Guest  Ranjit another close friend of the President Kapil Dutta wished him and his team a successful year. The Installation ceremony ended with a vote of thanks by DGN Rtn. Suresh Bhasin. It was followed by musical evening.
