THOR Riders Celebrate Independence Day Donating Blood at AIIMS New Delhi
On the occasion of Independence Day celebration on 15th August 2017, members of "The Harmony Of Riders" (THOR) celebrated the day with Professors &Doctors of Trauma Centre, AIIMS and their staff. “Mega Blood Donation Drive” organized by Trauma Centre, AIIMS which was initiated by The Harmony of Riders (THOR). On the same day, more than 200 THOR riders along with doctors & staff of Trauma Centre, taken the pledge for “Organ Donation”. Members of THOR performed many different cultural events. Doctors came forward and shared their stories of real life incidents.
Retd. Col. R. S. N. Singh & Dr. Rajesh Malhotra were the chief guest of this auspicious event. They boost up the moral and honored all the riders of THOR for their selfless service for coming forward to take social cause from time to time. Chief Guests in their speech highly appreciated the efforts of THOR.
All the event made possible because of hard efforts put by Prof. Vijay Sharma & Dr. Biblab Mishra. THOR totally changed the meaning of RIDE and mindset of people. The Harmony Of Riders is the group of young and enthusiast to mature and passionate riders.
“The first impression about the bikers is always negative, as we see bikers’ drives rash, not follow the rules, don’t use safety gears and many more. All riding groups do the fun rides, but what next? We decided that we will ride for a cause, for society and nation. And all the riders nodded in silence, and the Journey started from that moment, said Ajit Sharma a prominent rider.
“Our motto is to “RIDE towards HUMANITY”. With this though, we inaugurated THOR on last Independence Day, celebrated with 2 BIHAR Unit. On the same day, THOR organized Blood Donation Camp for our Army soldiers at Armed Forces Transfusion Centre, Sadar Bazar, ” said Madhusudan Singh, another passionate rider.
All the founder members Pravesh Kaushik, Sanjeev Pandey & Arun Prabhakar are presented on this event. They are popularly called pillars of THOR because of their contribution to the rider group.
