Recently  Ryder Sports Academy, Gurgaon in collaboration with Gugu Events And Adventures organized ladies Cricket Match. . The curtain raiser for the first ever All Ladies Cricket League (ALCL) – 2017 happened  at Ajanta Public School, Gurgaon, with much fanfare and unique cultural rituals followed. 

The Event saw Chief Guests as Ms. Dharna Yadav, ACP Headquarter’s, Maj Gen.Razdan, a war veteran, Mr. Vijay Aima, President All India Kashmiri Samaj, Mr. Ramesh Kapoor, Chairperson Ajanta Public School, Gurgaon, Mr. Raj Nehru VC, Vishwakarma University and many other distinguished guests from MCG Gurgaon and HUDA. 

Amongst the other participating teams from Corporate, RWA & School Teachers, the event also witnessed a team comprising players from Police Commissioner’s office and from city magistrate’s office headed by Sub-Inspector Geeta Yadav as the Captain.

The theme of the event been " Women Empowerment " and the punch line of " Why should Boyz have all the fun " All working ladies or house wife who had been hearing about women empowerment on paper so far, were looking forward to such initiatives for very long. Choosing sports as a medium, we wanted to provide such a platform to ladies and encourage them to come out and play their passion the same way their male counterpart does. Hence, the ALCL (All Ladies Cricket League) 2017 tournament !!!

As the matches progressed, friends and family members supporting their respective teams saw enormous excitement and frenzy generated. Each boundary scored or wicket taken saw huge round of applause from the spectators. Even some of the best fielding moments were greatly appreciated and cheered. It was as much fun and action outside the field too, as it was at the centre where players were engaged in a competitive yet friendly duel between bat n the ball !!! Food and snacks were made available by the organizers and presented an overall glimpses of a carnival !!! Probably, it was for the first time when wives had taken the centre-stage and husbands were doing the baby sitting yet, both enjoyed their respective roles for a change and were all in praise for the initiative taken in line with women empowerment and equal participation in all fields, be it even sports !

All matches are played under lights and on weekends only and will see further league matches played between various teams accordingly till the top two teams from the league reach finals and battle it out for the first title of ALCL – 2017.
