Fireworks for Diwali 2016 are ready  and just after a few hours later they are expected to ignite at the box office with two major releases - Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn's Shivaay.

Industry experts believe both the films will give an unpredictable response in terms of the collection during the auspicious occasion. Both the films are set to release on Friday 28  October ahead of Diwali on October 30.

Both the films have been much hyped than never before any other films. Because  Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring , Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, has occupied national headline of the most the media. The film was in controversy following the threat of MNS. MNS was not allowing for screening the film in the movie halls for featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. While Ajay's Shivaay has been much appreciated in the social media for showcasing scenic locales of Bulgaria, Hyderabad and Mussoorie. The lead roles in the movie are played by Ajay Devgan,  Erika Kaar, Sayesha Saigal, Abigail Eames, Girish Karnad, Vir Das, Bijou and Saurabh Shukla.

The booking of both films has been unprecedented. Cinema lovers are enthusiastically waiting to catch the movies at the box office said an expert from the industry. Both the movies are expected without any effort to enter Rs 100 crore-club, said an official of Cinepolis.
While a spokesperson of INOX said that they are getting a very good response as regards advance booking is concerned.
 Even the online booking for both films doing well from different online ticket booking.  Most of the online ticketing brand are offering discounted price at the advance booking. A spokesperson of Paytm says that they are expecting huge booking for both the films.
Both the movies are star-studded with the young theme of friendship, love, and heartbreak.

According to distributors , 'Shivaay' is ahead in single screen theatres while 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' is ruling in multiplexes and both films are releasing  over 3,000 screens in the country. The opening-day collections for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' are to be Rs 13-15 crore while first-day revenue for Devgan's action thriller Shivaay is expected to be Rs 10-11 crore. The figures could vary depending upon the feedbacks of the audiences after few shows.
