Actor Sushant Singh Rajput is now at the zenith of his popularity and has become a household name with his last release -the biopic on the life of ace cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Through MS Dhoni The Untold Story the actor not only made big bucks but also got a lot of appreciation across the globe.
The actor had made a humble beginning in Bollywood with Kai Po Che! In 2013. Before coming to Bollywood he was pursuing mechanical engineering at Delhi Technological University. In the third year, he chose to drop his studies and go for a career in acting. He earned name and fame on the small screen with Ekta Kapoor's daily soap Pavitra Rishta.
In a recent interview, the actor said that his whole family has seen the movie and all the family members were extremely happy and now they feel that Sushant's decision in dropping engineering was right. The actor was born in Patna, where his father worked as a government official The actor has four elder sisters and he being the youngest in the family. His one sister lives in the US, one in Chandigarh rest of the two in Delhi. One sister, Mitu Singh, is a state-level cricketer and she had even helped her brother to don Dhoni's role to perfection
The actor had worked hard for the role of Dhoni and that was the reason he did his incredible performance in the movie. The actor did 13 months of hard work before coming to the set. The actor who broke up his girlfriend of six years, this March never spoke about his break-up and he refuses to give any importance to gossip.
The film is like to become the third highest grosser of this year and with box office collection of Rs 121.48 crore the film is going to leave behind Rustom starring Akshay Kumar, Rustom has collected Rs 127.49 crore.
Akshay Kumar’s three releases of this year - Rustom, Airlift, and Housefull 3 — have earned an astounding INR 364.73 crore. Salman Khan comes second with INR 300.45 crores.
