Only a few days after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) asked Pakistani actors to leave India, this time, Pakistani distributors have also cleared their stand that they would not release M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story in Pakistan. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film is based on the real life of Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Sushant Singh Rajput starring as the actor in the film as the Indian cricket captain is releasing on Friday 30th September. This 104 crores budgeted film is releasing on the record number of screens of around 4500 across 60 countries in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. It has emerged as one of the widest Indian releases.

As per latest reports, Pakistan-based IMGC Global Entertainment, the distributing company, has backed out of releasing the film in Pakistan. Its chairman said that amid current tension between the two countries, they have decided not to release the film in Pakistan.

The ban will affect the box office of MS Dhoni biopic as Pakistan is the third highest overseas market for Bollywood film. The film has not been featured on to release list of film theatres in the country.

After the Uri attack, where 18 Indian soldiers were killed, MNS had given an ultimatum to all the Pakistani actors to leave India. MNS led by Raj Thackeray had also announced that any films starring Pakistani actors will not be allowed to release in India. Now two films- Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, where Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan worked respectively, face uncertainty.

A PIL was filed by lawyer Azhar at the Lahore High Court on 23rd September that sought a ban on Indian films until the Kashmir issue is settled. The PIL said that Bollywood movies in Pakistan will hurt sentiments of the people of Kashmir and Pakistan. Meanwhile, MNS said all Pakistani actors, including Fawad Khan, have left India.

Everyone is very eager to know the history of Mahi, the journey that Dhoni has covered to achieve this height. The film is produced by Arun Pandey under the banner Inspired Entertainment & Fox Star Studios in association with Friday Filmworks
Besides Sushant Singh Rajput in the title role M.S.Dhoni, The Untold Story features Kiara Advani, Anupam Kher, Disha Patani, Bhumika & more in the crucial supporting characters. The film does not have very high star power still, the move has massive buzz across the globe.
