PM Modi wants to see Big B as next President of India

New Delhi- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to propose the name of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s for the next president of India, a senior politician reveals.

As per the report of ZeeNews, "Amar Singh has said that he got to know that 'PM Narendra Modi is planning to propose Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan's name for the next President of India'. Amar Singh claimed about the Amitabh Bachchan's nomination for President's post in an exclusive interview to Zee News' India24x7 (Essel Group's news channel)."

 Amar Singh also said that he was the one to introduce Amitabh Bachchan to Narendra Modi (when he was Gujarat CM) after which Modi asked Bachchan to become the brand ambassador of Gujarat.

Pranab Mukherjee assumed office on July 25, 2012, as the 13th President of India. Before that BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha also mooted the name of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan as the next President of India. "It will be a matter of pride if Amitabh Bachchan, a cultural icon, is made the president of the country. Amitabh Bachchan has achieved many a milestone in cultural and social fields and if he becomes president, it will fetch a good name for the country," Sinha said while interacting with the media.

“It's his greatness. But, I will be happy if he graces the chair of President after Pranab Mukherjee,” he added further.

If one looks back to Amitabh Bachchan’s past political career it is not all clean. His name coming into Bofors scandal- that ruined the political career of Rajiv Gandhi, is well-known to all.
